Mark and Bridgette and their two teenage children are a typical Melbourne Family.
Mark Works full time in a professional career and Bridgette works part time in her career while mixing work with looking after their two early teenage children who have just started secondary school.
They live in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne in what you would term a typical family neighborhood.
Mark and Bridgette bought their family home in the mid 90's and now in their 40's have made some equity in their home.
Up until they met up with Heywood Partners they had been thinking of Investing in Property but were not entirely sure how or even if they could. They spent most of the 2000's seeing the property market go up and wondering if they should do anything.
They first contacted Heywood Partners in 2008 and had an initial meeting where they discovered that they could in fact get started on a property investment. They also found out that with the amount of time they had planned to stay in the workforce, they could look at the possibility of building a collection of properties that would see them create a large amount of wealth.

During this meeting they discovered that they were in a fantastic position to invest again and went through the process of reviewing their options for the second time.
They ended up investing in a well placed apartment in the inner suburbs of Melbourne which was "off the plan" purchase. The build time worked out at just a little under 12 months and once a tenant had been sourced they had the chance to review their position again with their Heywood Partners consultant.
This meeting too showed that they were in a position to invest again - their home and two investments realised good growth and their work situation was stable so they felt comfortable in proceeding further.
Their third investment was another off the plan apartment in a highly upmarket bayside melbourne inner city suburb.
Mark and Bridgette went from owning a family home to being in control of over $2 million of property in just under 3 years.
As they now head towards their 50's and look forward to their 60's they are well on track to seeing excellent growth in their well positioned properties and perhaps even expanding their portfolio a little further. |
